The Operation
Tom Moyer and Family began breeding hogs in 1986. In 1998, the main focus became Showpigs and Hampshire breeding hogs. Today, Tom, Andrew, Ben and their families run the 100 sow operation with Andrew and Ben working full time at the operation. Andrew specializes in the showpig genetic advancement, sales management and customer service side of the business, while Ben concentrates on the day-to-day herd management tasks along with the continued advancement of the Hampshire and Yorkshire divisions of the herd.
In the fall of 2008 we started the boar stud division Genetic Edge. The stud consists of over 20 boars that have been raised and purchased to produce championship showpigs. You can contact Ben or Andrew in order to visit about the boars and place your orders.
Tom Moyer and Family thrives on repeat business as our goal is to work with each and every customer in order to meet their objectives so they will return the following year.
We are a specialized Showpig business that concentrates on making improvements to our herd everyday in order to ensure our customers' continued success.
